Bunk Bed

Having a baby is one of the most exciting times of your life. We have some ideas to get you started in making their room truly one-of-a-kind, just like they will be!

The most important thing is to make sure your baby is comfortable and safe. The room must also serve all your needs while creating a visually stimulating environment for your child. Fashioning a room that can be easily modified as your child grows older will save both time and money. Finding the right theme and color scheme can be exciting and fun so let’s look at some ideas.

  • Animals can be used to create various themes. Your child can marvel at a bunny magically jumping out of a magician’s hat/wand in hand, or go on an African safari complete with an animal rug, framed animal prints, and perhaps a stuffed giraffe grazing in the distance. As you can see there are so many animal options to consider.
  • Landscape holds endless possibilities. If you are a beach person, you can have a beach mural with fish jumping out of the water. Accessorize with perhaps an umbrella, sandals, beach ball, and a bucket and scoop that will help make your room complete. Should you prefer the mountains then paint a mountain scene with a picture of a deer on the wall and perhaps a stuffed bear watching over your little one while utilizing natural wood furnishings. Mother Nature has provided many options to stimulate your child’s curiosity
  • Transportation can span decades and offers numerous options for your theme. Consider aviation with a flying airplane, a boat complete with sails and a hanging paddle, a train with an engineer’s lantern and hat, a school bus with children looking out the windows, or perhaps even a hot air balloon floating through the air. There are many options to consider.
  • Education can provide a unique theme to inspire stories you can read to your child. Perhaps make a crib into a teepee with an Indian headband on display. You can display maps of the world, rainbows with all the colors, words under coinciding pictures, or our solar system complete with the moon and planets on the wall.

Your baby will grow up sooner than you think so create a world for them that they will cherish when they are older and can be easily transformed as they grow. The sooner you start the sooner you can include the items you want on your register, including a rocking chair and chest of drawers. Don’t forget we are here to help you get started!
